Seedstars Summit, the annual entrepreneurship forum for emerging markets, will hold its 2017 edition on April 6 at the SwissTech Center in Lausanne, Switzerland.

The event will bring together startups, investors, government officials, corporate innovators and CEOs from Africa, Asia, Latin America, Central and Eastern Europe and the MENA region.

Sixty-three startups — pre-selected out of more than 3,000 applications from over 60 countries — will participate in a two-day bootcamp and pitch their projects to a board of international investors as part of the investor forum to be held on April 5. Twelve selected projects will then compete for equity investment of up to $500,000.

Odessa-based Glash, which offers video-stabilization technology to be run on GoPro and smartphones, will represent Ukraine.

The agenda will also feature panel discussions and specialized workshops on fintech, EdTech, digital health, agtech, foodtech, Internet-of-Things, insurance tech, to name a few.

Seedstars is a global organization based in Switzerland with its activities in more than 65 countries around the world. Its mission is to impact people’s lives in emerging markets through entrepreneurship and technology. Its main goal is to develop and/or foster startup ecosystems by connecting, building and investing into driven entrepreneurs.

Last year, Ukrainian travel startup Tripmydream won up to $500,000 in equity investment at the previous edition of the Seedstars Summit.
